Start with the numbers

What could you walk away with?

Explore a simplified seller proceeds estimate. Enter your own assumptions; these sample costs are not a quote or a standard fee schedule.

Illustrative net proceeds

$136,000
Sale price $350,000
Loan / lien payoff $200,000
Other entered deductions $14,000

Brokerage compensation starts at $0 only as an unfilled placeholder: enter your negotiated amount for a meaningful estimate. Compensation is negotiable and is not set by law. Enter each expense once to avoid double counting. This estimate excludes income/capital-gains taxes, moving costs, and any unentered fees or liens. Payoff can differ from your statement balance. Negative proceeds indicate a potential cash shortfall.

Seller answers

Know what comes next.

What is my Houston home worth?

A useful pricing conversation starts with recent comparable sales, current competition and your home’s condition, features and location. Online estimates are a starting point, not a property inspection or an appraisal. Ask Jovany for a comparative market analysis and discuss the evidence behind the range.

How much does it cost to sell a home?

Your costs can include negotiated brokerage compensation, title and settlement charges, loan payoff, tax prorations, repairs, concessions and moving. Costs depend on your agreements and transaction. Use the proceeds calculator to explore assumptions, then request a property-specific estimate from your agent and title company.

Should I repair or sell as-is?

Compare the cost, time and buyer expectations for your price range. Focus first on issues that affect safety, financing or a buyer’s confidence. Selling as-is does not eliminate applicable disclosure obligations, and buyers may still negotiate price or terms.

How long will my home take to sell?

Timing depends on price, condition, buyer demand, competition and contract terms. Review recent local listing activity and your move-out needs with Jovany. No fixed sale or closing date is guaranteed.

Do I have to accept the highest offer?

Compare the entire offer: financing strength, contingencies, inspections, appraisal risk, concessions, closing timing and expected net proceeds. A higher price can come with terms that change the practical outcome.

What is a seller’s disclosure?

Texas has disclosure requirements for many residential sales, with exceptions. The TREC Seller’s Disclosure Notice addresses known material facts and the property’s physical condition. Discuss the applicable notice and any additional obligations with your agent or a qualified attorney.

Can I buy another home while selling mine?

You may have options, but financing and timing matter. Discuss whether you must sell before buying, whether a contingency is needed and what happens if either closing is delayed. Get lender guidance before committing to overlapping housing costs.

Will this calculator tell me my home’s value?

No. The calculator uses a sale price you enter and subtracts the costs you provide. It does not access live valuations, produce an appraisal, calculate capital-gains tax or replace a title company’s settlement statement.
