From “thinking about it”
to your next chapter.
A seller’s roadmap. The exact steps and timing depend on your property, contract and buyer’s financing.
1. Set your goals
Discuss your move, timing, property condition and estimated proceeds. Review representation terms and the services included.
2. Build a pricing and preparation plan
Compare market evidence, prioritize preparation and agree on the property’s positioning before launch.
3. List and market the property
Review the listing information and materials for accuracy. Discuss the marketing channels and showing arrangements appropriate to your property.
4. Evaluate and negotiate offers
Compare price, financing, contingencies, concessions, timing and the buyer’s ability to close. Review your expected net proceeds.
5. Work through the contract
Coordinate inspections, agreed repairs, appraisal and financing milestones as applicable. Track your contractual obligations and deadlines.
6. Prepare for closing and possession
Review the settlement figures and payoff information, confirm funds instructions securely and agree on move-out, keys and possession terms.
